A client from the smart home industry needed a single, natural interface for controlling home devices (lighting, heating, blinds) and music playback from Spotify. Competitors' apps required tapping through menus on the phone — we wanted voice control in Polish, working without a Google Assistant account.
A voice assistant for home control
An Android app integrating smart home with music, schedules and voice commands in Polish
The challenge
The solution
We built a native Android app with a voice-command recognition engine, integrations with smart home protocols (MQTT, HTTP) and with the Spotify Web API. The app runs in always-on mode and can be woken with an activation phrase. Commands are configurable per user ("dim the light", "play playlist X").
The outcome
A single point of control for the client's entire smart home ecosystem. The app is available on Google Play, used by the manufacturer's device owners.
